We were commissioned to provide structural engineering services for this fire damaged cottage, which was seriously damage. Set in the conservation area of Dartmoor, the reinstatement work had to be carried out sympathetically and to the approval of Conservation Officers. The roof was reinstated with tradition timber trusses to match the original with new purlins and rafters. Lintels were replace with oak (where exposed) and the building generally completed to a very high standard. We responded quickly and worked hard to achieve early re-occupation of the cottage.
