Occupying a highly visible site in Exeter city centre this development consists of 11 studio apartments, laundry room and a cycle store. This is a challenging site due to close proximity to the City's Roman wall. This resulted in our Engineers working in close partnership with Exeter City Council's archaeological department to ensure that the development was not to the detriment of the ancient wall.
The site is bordered by a public car park which had to remain fully functional whilst construction works were being undertaken. The retaining wall bordering the car park was designed in pre-cast pre-stressed concrete panels enabling the entire length of wall to be erected in one day, resulting in minimal disruption to the operation of the public car park.
