The Range Headquarters, Plymouth

We have been appointed to carry out civil and structural design for the new headquarters for The Range Superstore in Crownhill, Plymouth. This involved design and detailing the substructure for a four storey office block, superstore, garden centre and two storey car park. Parts of the buildings have had to be piled due to poor and varying ground conditions. Level changes around the site have necessitated retaining walls and special measures for support of floors and walls.

We have also carried out the design of the roads and drainage for the scheme with section 38, 104 and 185 applications for adoption.

The contractors are working exceptionally well to keep up with the fast track program. We are working and liaising with John Luffman Trading Ltd. who are undertaking the groundworks and South West Highways Ltd for the road construction.
