This is an office block constructed with load bearing masonry on piled foundations and pre-cast concrete floors.

A structural analysis for stability and wind loading was undertaken and strategically placed structural steelwork adopted to stabilize critical sections of structure.

The building was tight to a boundary wall and to avoid affecting the foundations to the adjoining property, the foundations and floor slab were cantilevered over the piles, which were set around 1.2m off the party wall. This was agreed with the Party Wall Surveyor.
